Public Reception & Awards Ceremony (6:15 p.m.)
The 29th National Pastel Painting Exhibition, a juried exhibition presented by the Pastel Society of New Mexico, features more than 50 artworks on view at the museum. During the event, meet some of the participating artists! The exhibition takes place in Gallery 9 and the lobby, and the artworks will be for sale. The award ceremony will be in the museum’s courtyard. All ages welcome. Free and open to the public.

Pastel Painting Demonstration by Vasili Katakis
During this event, Vasili Katakis, a New Mexico artist, will lead us through his painting process in a live demonstration format. Throughout his presentation, you’ll have the opportunity to ask him questions! All ages welcome. Free with museum admission.
