The Millicent Rogers Museum partners with communities of the Southwest to share their stories, arts, and cultures. We are asking for your support at this time to help us continue our mission. Art can transform lives and you have helped that happen through your generosity to the Millicent Rogers Museum. Thank you!
We are not holding a summer gala this year so we hope you will support our exhibits, activities, and educational programs directly.
As we look ahead throughout 2024, here are some of the exciting initiatives we have planned:
- Dorothy Brett Exhibit and Programs: Commemorating her century-long influence since arriving in Taos, this show is largely composed of works by Dorothy Brett from numerous private collections. Many of these works have not been seen by the public in decades.
- Textile Cleaning and Restoration: Professional textile conservators are preserving and restoring fiber arts objects in the Museum collection.
- Improved Lighting: Upgrading lighting in individual jewelry cases is part of our plan to enhance the viewing experience for our visitors.
- New Annex Roof: We are addressing infrastructure needs by replacing our leaking roof in the annex.
- Youth Programs Expansion: We are focused on expanding our youth programs to inspire the next generation of art enthusiasts. In 2023, MRM gave out over 150 free books for toddlers and saw attendance grow to 134 for Museum Mondays, an 8 week summer program supporting early childhood literacy and language development through museum-based activities rooted in Southwest arts and culture.
Art can be an essential aspect of the human experience, providing meaning and insight into our world. Art has the power to broaden perspective and foster empathy; your contribution will help make that happen.
We can’t thank you enough for your support as a donor and hope you will use the enclosed envelope to send us your contribution.
If you have special instructions for your donation, please send us specific details here and contact us.
