Millicent Unplugged: Painting from Within: 100 Years of Dorothy Brett in Taos Virtual Program
Thursday, August 1
6PM - 7PM
This month, Millicent Unplugged presents an associated program to the current exhibition, Painting from Within: 100 years of Dorothy Brett in Taos. Our guests include MRM curator Claire Motsinger and long-time community member and artist Kevin Cannon. The conversation will highlight stories of place, centered on Kevin's experience residing in Dorothy's historic first home in Taos when she arrived with D. H. Lawrence and Frieda Lawrence. Join us as we explore threads of impact, legacy, and shared inspiration uniquely found in Taos, New Mexico. Kevin Cannon was born in New York City and moved to Taos in the 70s, settling into his current home in the 90s. A life-long sculptor and object-maker, Kevin’s work can be viewed at kevincannon.com
