The Millicent Rogers Museum proudly welcomes hundreds of youth visitors each year through school field trips and family visits. Signature events like the Annual Holiday Fiesta: A Holiday Community Day and special exhibitions such as Taos Unite offer families rich opportunities to engage with the museum around cultural and seasonal themes.
We invite you to explore the museum through the lens of early childhood and K–12 learning. Whether you're enhancing a homeschool curriculum, supplementing classroom studies with hands-on discovery, or simply enjoying a creative Saturday outing, MRM provides a welcoming space where families can connect with art, history, and culture in meaningful ways.

High School Internships and Community Schools Collaboration
More than just a museum, MRM serves as a dynamic learning space and partner in the Taos Municipal Schools Community Schools Initiative. Through high school internships and collaborative programming, we connect students with real-world experiences that inspire growth and informed decision-making
In partnership with Vista Grande Charter High School, MRM supports arts and museum studies for grades 9–12. A highlight of this collaboration was our January 2023 "open house," featuring over 70 student artworks in a school-wide collage exhibit—celebrating creativity, self-expression, and the shared power of community and education.

School Field Trips
School field trips to the Millicent Rogers Museum offer students a hands-on connection to classroom learning through Southwest arts, culture, and history. Each visit is tailored to support curriculum goals and align with New Mexico state education standards.
The Millicent Rogers Museum remains committed to engaging students through gallery exploration, storytelling, and hands-on activities like clay, weaving, and painting.

Annual Holiday Fiesta
Celebrate Tradition at MRM’s Annual Holiday Fiesta
For over 25 years, the Millicent Rogers Museum’s Holiday Fiesta has brought the Taos community together in a joyful celebration of culture, creativity, and tradition. Held each year on the first Saturday of December, this beloved event features youth performances, multicultural crafts, a visit from the Taos Fiesta Court, and the cherished community “Wish Tree.”
MRM’s galleries come alive with hands-on activities and holiday cheer as generations gather to make ornaments, share stories, and create lasting memories. Now fully returned to in-person festivities, we’re also welcoming fresh ideas to help shape the future of this vibrant tradition.
