MICHAEL M. HENSLEY, widely regarded as a master draftsman of both the human and animal forms, will present a series of interactive drawing sessions exploring the power, elegance, and structure of the world’s wild cats. This workshop series will examine members of the Felidae family, from the great cats of Panthera to the smaller, highly specialized species of Felinae, with an emphasis on observation, anatomical understanding, and refined draftsmanship.
Through live demonstrations and guided instruction, participants will study proportion, skeletal structure, musculature, gesture, and value, gaining insight into how form follows function across different species. Each session is designed to strengthen both technical skill and visual awareness, supporting artists at all levels.
All sessions are offered free of charge and are open to youth ages 10–19.
