Karen Chertok Education Fund

The Karen Chertok Education Fund honors the legacy of Karen Chertok, beloved Executive Director of the Millicent Rogers Museum, who passed away in 2025. Karen’s passion for education and community engagement touched everyone she met and continues to inspire those who knew her.

Karen believed deeply in the power of art, culture, and creativity to inspire young minds. Through programs like Museum Mondays, she brought joy, curiosity, and learning to countless children — encouraging them to explore, imagine, and connect with the rich heritage of Taos and Northern New Mexico.

Funds raised through this initiative will be used to continue and expand Karen’s mission of bringing youth and eager learners to the museum, supporting educational programming, hands-on workshops, and outreach opportunities that celebrate art, history, and cultural understanding.

Through the Karen Chertok Education Fund, her spirit of curiosity, compassion, and lifelong learning will continue to guide and inspire future generations.
