Though the MRM does not have an endowment to actively acquire for the collection, our patrons continue to gift objects that fill the gaps and show the evolution of the arts in the cultures of the southwest.

Monstrance – MRM 2010.006.001

A monstrance is the vessel used in the Roman Catholic, Old Catholic, Anglican, and Lutheran Churches to display the consecrated Eucharistic Host, during Eucharistic adoration or Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

Sterling silver with filigree work.  Won first place at 2009 Summer Spanish Market.
