FRIDAY, AUGUST 3

ALL DAY EVENTS AT THE MILLICENT ROGERS MUSEUM

9AM - 1PM  Silent Auction, Lectures, Demonstrations and Children's Activities with focus on the MRM collection and jewelry.
9AM Christina Peralta-Ramos shares stories and insights about her Grandmother Millicent.
10AM Jewelry Demonstrations featuring internationally renowned Harold O'Connor and Phil Poirier working in gold and silver.
Noon Lunch will be available for sale on the grounds by Dragonfly Cafe
1-3PM Ray Trotter, owner of RB Ravens, will discuss the historical importance of the women's blankets and mantas in his museum exhibition "Matriarchs of the Past".  Museum Vault Tour is led by Carmela Quinto, Curator of Collections,

Friday Evening at The Millicent Rogers Museum 

5-7PM Master Jewelers at the Millicent Rogers Museum, Opening Show & Sale
Masters Jewelers of Contemporary and Traditional Southwestern Adornments have been invited to create their finest with Precious Gems, Metals and their sheer genius. Champagne reception with Artists.

 

SATURDAY, AUGUST 4
EVENTS AT MILLICENT ROGERS MUSEUM

Saturday begins with  Quick Draw and Sculpt featuring nationally celebrated artists such as Sherrie McGraw painting in oil, Star Llana York sculpting in clay and Ira Lujan blowing glass.

6-10PM Live Auction with Richard Lampert, owner of Zaplin-Lampert will be the auctioneer featuring a limited group of special works by outstsanding artists such as Tony Abeyta, Bill Acheff (who is creating a special painting inspired by works from the museum's vault), Walt Gonske, Jerry Jordan, Kevin MacPherson, Roxanne Swentzel, Poteet Victory, and others. Dinner and Live Swing Music will be the finale of this event filled weekend.
