Welcome Summer Interns

The Millicent Rogers Museum proudly introduces the two newest members of our staff for the Summer of 2011. Andrew Quick and Emily Jespersen are student-interns who will be supporting the museum for our summer season. They will be aiding the museum with events such as the Turquoise Ball, preparing gallery exhibits, learning about the history of Northern New Mexico—its fashion and design, as well as providing general services to the staff to improve the experience for the patrons of the Millicent Rogers Museum.

Look for Us!! New Downtown Display Window!

In an effort to help keep Taos beautiful as well as promote the Museum, volunteers have created a great display window in the empty store front at 111 Paseo del Pueblo Norte near the downtown Taos Plaza. The display contains large images of Millicent as well as fabulous images from the collection itself. Walkers by will be intrigued by this visually engaging display. This area of downtown is one of the most heavily trafficked, and it is our executive director, Paul's hope to reach out to people and remind them of the Millicent Rogers Museum just four miles from the Plaza.

New Grant from New Mexico Arts

The Millicent Rogers Museum is very happy to report that the Directors of the New Mexico Arts have rewarded the MRM with a grant of  $4,194 to be used towards the museum’s Community Day Events as well as the "Art in Museums" program, which brings preschool children into the museum during the week for a tour, storytelling, and a hands-on art project.

New Grant from the Las Alamos National Lab Foundation

The Millicent Rogers Museum is very happy to report that the Directors of the Las Alamos National Lab Foundation have approved a one-time grant of $1,500 to the Museum in support of the Art of Taos Pueblo Exhibit.
